The Mediterranean Revival has a long history of TV appearances, serving as Mitch and Cam’s duplex in the Modern Family pilot and Kate’s lovely house in This is Us, while also popping up in HBO’s widely acclaimed Insecure series. Located in a quiet neighborhood near the Fox lot, it’s easy to park and stand in front of this duplex. While they never actually mention Los Angeles by name, it’s pretty obvious that Modern Family takes place in LA. Besides the weather, you’ll see lots of clues about Southern California in many of the locations they chose for filming, like palm trees – always a dead giveaway it’s LA.

It’s set down the street from the studios where the show was filmed, and fairly close to the Dunphy house. The Pritchett-Tucker house is in fact part of a duplex, as we learn in the season 2 episode Slow Down Your Neighbors, which reveals that the upstairs apartment is available for rent. Fittingly, Jay’s house is the only one to have a pool — which serves as a location for many of the show’s most memorable episodes. The two-story contemporary home of the Pritchetts is by far the most opulent property on the show.
